01 / Decisions we support

Four decisions, each with a stated range.

We start from the decision the work has to support, then scope the least analysis that can support it.
01

Site screening and go/no-go

Is this site worth an appraisal well? A ranked view of containment, capacity and injectivity risks from the data that already exists.

02

Storage capacity and uncertainty

Capacity reported as P90, P50 and P10 cases, with the inputs that drive the spread and the measurement that would narrow it.

03

Monitoring and verification (MRV) design

What to measure, how often, and whether each method can detect the predicted change at this site.

04

Carbon-credit technical evaluation

An independent check of the subsurface claims behind a carbon-credit project: storage, permanence and monitoring.

02 / What a deliverable looks like

Findings, figures and the range around them.

Both figures are illustrative examples built from synthetic data. They show the form of a deliverable, not a result.
Fig. 1 Illustrative well-log panel. Gamma ray, resistivity and density with neutron porosity against depth; the shaded band is the candidate storage interval. Source: Synthetic data generated for illustration; not a client well.
Fig. 2 Illustrative example. Cumulative CO2 stored by case, with injection ending in year 20. P90 is the low case (90% probability of being exceeded) and P10 the high case [VERIFY: convention]. Source: Illustrative values, not project data.
Uncertainty summary for Fig. 2
Time P90, low (Mt CO2) P50, mid (Mt CO2) P10, high (Mt CO2)
Year 5 2.0 3.1 4.7
Year 10 3.9 5.9 8.9
Year 20 6.5 10.0 15.0
Year 30 6.5 10.0 15.0

Sample deliverable (illustrative)

An illustrative extract showing how findings, uncertainty ranges and figures are reported. Not from a client project.

03 / Engagement process and timeline

Six steps to a report you can defend.

Durations are indicative and depend on data volume and access [VERIFY: all durations].

  1. Scoping call

    [VERIFY: duration]
The decision, the deadline and the data available are agreed.
  2. Data review

    [VERIFY: duration]
Existing logs, core, tests and reports are checked for quality and gaps.
  3. Analysis

    [VERIFY: duration]
Interpretation and modelling, with uncertainty carried through.
  4. Draft

    [VERIFY: duration]
Draft findings and figures are issued for comment.
  5. Review

    [VERIFY: duration]
Your comments and the internal technical review are addressed.
  6. Final report

    [VERIFY: duration]
The signed-off report and datasets are handed over.
What you provide
Item Detail
Data Well logs, core and test data, seismic or other surveys, and previous reports.
Context The decision to be made, its deadline, and the investment or regulatory test it must meet.
Access A named technical contact and permission to use the data.
What you receive
Item Detail
Report Findings, methods and limitations, written for a technical reviewer and an investment committee.
Ranges Key quantities as P90, P50 and P10 with the assumptions behind them.
Datasets Interpreted curves and model inputs in open formats [VERIFY: formats].
Scope, timeline and cost band Agreed in writing before work starts [VERIFY: pricing approach].

04 / Services

Services for investors and developers.

The five services, in the order investors and developers most often need them.
01

Carbon Storage & Climate

Screening, monitoring design and technical evaluation for CO2 storage, stated with the uncertainty a regulator or investor needs to see.

  • CO2 storage screening
  • MRV and monitoring strategy
  • Carbon-credit technical evaluation
  • CCU assessment
02

Borehole Logging & Interpretation

Wireline logging, petrophysics and core-log integration that turn a borehole into a calibrated record of the formations it crosses.

  • Wireline logging
  • Petrophysical interpretation
  • Core-log integration
  • Geophysical borehole studies
03

Climate Finance & Infrastructure Support

Independent technical evidence for investment decisions and renewable infrastructure: what the subsurface supports, and how sure that is.

  • Technical due diligence
  • Evidence for investment committees
  • Renewable infrastructure support
04

Subsurface Resources

Resource evaluation for groundwater, basalt and geothermal wells, built on logged and tested data rather than surface inference alone.

  • Groundwater assessment and monitoring
  • Basalt resource assessment
  • Geothermal well evaluation
05

Training & Curriculum Development

Courses and curricula in borehole logging, interpretation and carbon storage, built so that agency, industry and university teams can do the work themselves.

  • Technical training courses
  • Curriculum development
  • Field and on-the-job training
  • Training of trainers

05 / Methodology and independence

A method you can put in front of a committee.

We are paid for the analysis, not for the outcome. No result is guaranteed, and a no-go finding is reported as plainly as a go.

Full methodology
  1. Uncertainty

Inputs are given as ranges and carried through to the result; single-point estimates are not reported alone.
  2. Peer review

    [VERIFY: review steps]
Interpretations are checked by a second qualified reviewer before release.
  3. Data and QA

    [VERIFY: QA procedure]
Source data, corrections and parameter choices are recorded so the work can be audited and repeated.
  4. Conflicts of interest

    [VERIFY: policy]
Any interest in a project, sponsor or contractor is declared before work starts.

06 / Selected work

Selected work.

Only real, permitted case studies with quantified results are shown here. Until then this section holds a labelled placeholder [VERIFY].
Basalt

Placeholder case study

Basalt carbon storage screening [VERIFY]

Placeholder case study. Screening of a basalt formation for CO2 storage using logged rock properties, a fluid-response framework and a monitoring sensitivity study.

07 / Team credentials

Who signs the report.

Short CVs, qualifications and memberships of the people responsible for the work [VERIFY: all profiles].

08 / Questions from investors

Scope, confidentiality and liability.

How is scope and pricing set?

After a scoping call we issue a written scope with a fixed deliverable list, a timeline and a cost band. Work starts once that is agreed [VERIFY: pricing approach].

How is our data kept confidential?

We work under a non-disclosure agreement where required. Project data is not shared or reused without written consent [VERIFY: NDA terms, storage and retention].

How fast can you turn work around?

It depends on data volume and quality. A screening review is the shortest engagement; indicative durations are given in the scope [VERIFY: typical durations].

Can your work be used for third-party verification?

Reports record data, method and assumptions so that a verifier or lender's technical adviser can follow and test them [VERIFY: verification bodies or standards worked with].

What about liability and independence?

We give a professional opinion on the evidence and do not guarantee project outcomes. Liability terms and insurance cover are set out in the engagement letter [VERIFY: liability cap and professional indemnity cover].

09 / Due-diligence scope

Request a technical due-diligence scope.

Tell us the decision, the deadline and the data you hold. We reply with a scope, a timeline and a cost band, or book a screening call first.

The decision the work supports, the site or data you have, and any deadline.
